Meet Our Clinical Audiologist
Betty Jane Hoade, AuD.

Dr. Hoade received her Bachelor of Arts in speech pathology and audiology from Michigan State University in 1975, Master of Science in audiology from the University of Wyoming in 1978 and doctor of audiology form Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2002. After working as an audiologist in the Cheyenne, Wyoming schools and in Bexar County Hospitals in San Antonio, Texas she moved to Fort Myers joined Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in 1981. She is a well rounded audiologist who has worked with patients of all ages from birth on up and in various fields within audiology; hearing and balance disorders, diagnostic audiology, hearing aid assessment, fitting and dispensing, and pediatric audiology. Dr. Hoade is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Cathy Newman, AuD.

Ms. Newman is certified nationally by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and holds a Florida state license in Audiology. She received her master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Washington State University in 1996 and her Clinical Doctorate degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2010. Her clinical experience is very broad and includes pediatric to geriatric diagnostic audiology services and hearing aid fitting and dispensing. She has provided clinical audiology services  in hospital, university and small group Ear Nose and Throat settings.  Dr. Newman has a special interest in vestibular and balance disorder assessment along with habilitation of the hearing impaired adult.

She has a true passion for her profession and strives to provide quality, compassionate and professional services to the hearing impaired population. She strives to provide patient care at the highest standards of practice within her profession.  She continues to increase her knowledge and skills by actively pursuing continuing education within her area of science. 

Brooke Pape, AuD.

Dr. Pape received her Bachelor of Arts education for the hearing impaired from Lenior-Rhyne College, her Masters of Education from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences. She has been working in the field of audiology since 1992 and has worked in a variety of settings including ENT offices, Schools for the Deaf and private practice.     Dr. Pape has worked with patients of all ages in various fields of audiology including hearing and balance disorders, diagnostic audiology, cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA). Dr. Pape joined Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in 2016 to work with cochlear implant and BAHA patients. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has her Certificate of Clinical Compentence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associates.
